This morning, I went to see Dr. Ren for my 10 year check-up. I wound up getting a really little fill when I was there. Much to my surprise, I'd missed my last two yearly check-ups and hadn't been in for three years!
I did the wee fill because I get hungrier faster these days, and thought it might help me with those pesky few extra pounds I've been carrying around for a few years. Dr. Ren suggested that I just skip breakfast, and I'm going to try that out. I'll let you know how it goes!
Funny enough, this is the FIRST time I've had one of my annual check-ups when I was able to stop myself from crying. It's weirdly emotional to be back in that office, and it always makes me think about how far I've come from when this journey started. It really drives home how good things have been for the past 10 years, and how good they continue to be, and I get choked up because I feel so overwhelmed with gratitude. I know that I talk about these things on my blog a lot -- but the truth is, I don't think about them every day. It's not usually on my mind that I was ever so heavy and that it was such a struggle for me to workout.
