I have to say that I've been bowled over by how supportive my family and friends have been about my decision to get a lap band. I know that my nearest and dearest have all seen me really struggle with my weight forever, but I didn't expect them to be so uniformly positive about me finding a surgical solution. I am really encouraged by their positive responses and support!!
